There’s always someone out there
As the newest addition to the AnybodyOutThere team I get to spend a lot of time on the site and experience it as a new user. Allow me to introduce myself; I’m Nicole AnybodyOutThere’s book-loving, chickpea-eating online community manager.
Last night I was on the site for less than 15 minutes when I received my first chat request. And so began a long conversation which ended in me and the user becoming friends. A few minutes later, there was another invite to talk. Each user I spoke with I asked the same question: so what do you think of our site? And without fail the answer I got had something to do with how great it was that this site allowed people to talk. It was as simple as that – these people wanted someone to talk with. They wanted to feel that someone was listening. That someone cared. And I can’t say I didn’t get something out of it. I too shared what was on my mind.
As someone who is a relatively new user to the site, what amazed me most was that within 15 minutes I had someone to talk with. It was that simple. I’m now convinced that there is always someone out there to share and discuss things with. And no, this isn’t just a PR stunt. I am a new user to the site and did, in fact, spend time talking with users. But you don’t have to take my word for it, why not try it for yourself. And you can look forward to many conversations with many different people as this is our launch month. So we’re going all out to bring as many new, interesting people to the site as possible and are also adding all sorts of features.
But before you do anything, you may want to know a bit about AnybodyOutThere and why it’s so exciting. It’s a new platform which cuts out wading through tons of information. You simply tell us what’s on your mind be it a thought, feeling or even question. And using our magical algorithm we’ll find you people who are interested in talking about the same things. And it could be anything. Remember this is your space.
Now let’s say I wanted to talk with someone and discuss my thoughts about Black Friday. It’s a simple three step process:
1. I’d go to the AnybodyOutThere site.
2. Now it’s time to share your thought, post or question:

3. Now I wait for the algorithm’s recommendations of people I should be talking with.
Simple and easy. I look forward to talking with and getting to know you.
